Governor's Olive Mill Tours

Located in the village of Agios Matheos, around 20km south of Corfu Town, the Governor's Olive Mill is a small, family-run olive mill, renowned for producing an excellent quality Premium, Extra Virgin Olive Oil which has received many significant international awards and has also been featured in the famous Harrods in the UK!

This award-winning olive oil, named after the First Governor of Greece, Ioannis Kapodistrias (1776–1831) - who was born in Corfu to a distinguished Corfiot family -is produced by the “Lianolia” olive tree variety, native to Corfu and the Ionian Islands region. The Governor's Olive Oil holds precious secrets carried through three generations of The Dafnis family, who have been handling with great respect the centuries-old ''Lianolia'' variety olive tres in the family grove and passed their expertise from one generation to another.

One of the factors that make this Olive Oil stand out is its unusually high polyphenol content which is what gives it its health benefits and makes it beneficial to anyone's diet and well-being. This outstanding quality has been rewarded with some prestigious awards including Gold medal in the Los Angeles International extra virgin Olive oil Competition (Packaging design), Silver medal in the Tokyo International extra virgin Olive oil Competition (Taste), Great Taste Awards UK and so many more!

The Dafnis family welcomes hundreds of visitors every day.
